About Latin Bridal
Growing up in the small town of San Felipe, Mexico, Silvia Ferrusquia witnessed the art of dressmaking firsthand as her mother, a skilled seamstress, crafted gowns for the town's celebrations and organized the annual Mexican Independence Day festivities.
Upon moving to San Francisco, Silvia initially diverged from her mother's path, working for 11 years at a record store in the Mission District. Her remarkable talent for memorizing every record's location, despite not being familiar with the music, showcased her unique skills.
Eventually, Silvia ventured into entrepreneurship and opened her own clothing store. Encouraged by her customers, she began specializing in dresses for special occasions. Embracing her heritage, she curated a collection of wedding and quinceañera gowns, along with all the essentials for a glamorous event.
After 30 years in the business, Latin Bridal was honored with recognition as a Legacy Business by the City of San Francisco.
